The Davis-Orion Wiregroup began in 1980 as Davis Associates, Inc., a supplier of standard wires and cables. Evolving from that, Davis RF Co. emerged, fulfilling RF peripherals to the commercial and amateur radio market. Davis RF Co. sourced a specialized rope-lay cable and trade marked it FLEX-WEAVE^TM, a new hybrid innovation for the aerial wire market. The company expanded its service throughout government and commercial markets. Subsequently, BURY-FLEX^TM coax was the next product innovation designed and trade marked by Davis RF. The Davis-Orion Wiregroup is closely affiliated with a major cable producer as well as being a highly valued client of numerous production firms. These relationships greatly facilitate pricing, quality, and availability.

In 1992 Davis RF company became affiliated with Orion Wire Co., Inc., a designer of custom electronic cables. This addition brought an expansion of commercial business and significant experience with unique wire and cable items.

A new subsidiary was started in 1994, Davis/Orion Marine, to supply the boat building and servicing industry with USCG, UL, and ABYC accepted products. This division has successfully fulfilled the needs of major boat yards, boat builders, and marine electronics installers. The same level of attention to detail and excellence in Premier Client Satisfaction^TM has enabled this product group to expand outside of its New England base to become a distributor to other marine cable resellers nationwide.

A new distribution center in North Haverhill, NH was opened in 1995 to serve the various companies of the Davis-Orion Wiregroup and provide customer service support for the three sales offices in Carlisle, MA, Falmouth MA, and N. Haverhill NH. Immediate shipping and accurate accounting & order tracking controls facilitate the Group's priorities. These priorities encompass the Premier Client Satisfaction^TM program, as well as quality products.

The Davis-Orion Wiregroup continues to apply state of the art computer and engineering prowess to both recognize and solve the everyday problems of its clients. We will never take an order for a new application without first offering a courtesy analysis of the application and the applicability of the wire and cable specifications to the specific task. This engineering support is provided as our value added expertise and is supported by our staff's knowledge of chemistry, electronics, and cable design & production techniques.
